ionee Waterhouse is a video artist whose work treats the moving image as a living force that shapes perception, emotion and space. She creates visual ecosystems through animation, AI, video collage and live performance, building images that grow, collide and reorganize in real time. Her practice includes large-scale installations, architectural mapping and festival performances, with work presented at institutions such as the Parthenon in Athens. Her pieces appear in international exhibitions and permanent collections, including early acquisitions of AI-generated video art in Europe. Her work is rooted in a lifelong study of how images shape perception, offering viewers experiences that break habits of seeing and awaken new forms of awareness.

Segments of Magic
Each summer, within the ancient stone of Castelbuono’s Castello Ventimiglia, my visuals come alive projected in real time to accompany the music of Ypsigrock Festival. Since 2023, this collaboration has grown into a visual tradition, where live video mapping becomes part of the emotional identity of the festival.

Blending generative visuals, live painting VJ techniques, 2D & 3D Animations, video and AI-driven content, I create a site-specific performance that pulses with the rhythm of each concert, an ephemeral ritual shared with thousands.

In partnership with the Museo Civico di Castelbuono, my work now forms part of the living archive of Ypsigrock, echoing its central theme:
"Il futuro è già nostalgia."
